Improvisation is not a kind of movement but a way of moving.

At its outer boundaries, the place least like choreography or a scripted play improvisation is not memorized, never planned, and logically, cannot be repeated.

Improvised movement begins and seems to wind outward from the hidden, possibility ladened, internal life  of the mover.

Improvisational performers appear to fabricate unique  performances from some invisible place between time past and time future into the incandescent present where the hidden inner lives of a performer, the heart and soul of the performer, becomes concrete and visible to us, the watcher. We are rewarded, performer and watcher alike with inexplicable and unexpected glimpses of extraordinary and spellbinding moments.
